(1) |
A political subdivision may not make an ordinance or other regulation prohibiting or otherwise regulating the installation of a battery-charged suspended-wire system on non-residential property, if the suspended-wire system:

is installed, repaired, maintained, or replaced by a licensed alarm company or business or a licensed alarm company agent; and |

(2) |
Nothing in this section may be construed to prevent a political subdivision from making an ordinance or other regulation related to a nonelectric perimeter wall or fence, or signage related to the perimeter wall or fence, that surrounds a battery-charged suspended-wire system. |
