Terms Used In Utah Code 41-1a-1304
- Gross laden weight: means the actual weight of a vehicle or combination of vehicles, equipped for operation, to which shall be added the maximum load to be carried. See Utah Code 41-1a-102
- Motor vehicle: means a self-propelled vehicle intended primarily for use and operation on the highways. See Utah Code 41-1a-102
- Operate: includes testing of an automated driving system. See Utah Code 41-1a-102

41-1a-1304. Operating motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer in excess of registered gross laden weight — Infraction.
It is an infraction for a person to operate, or cause to be operated, a motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer, or combination of them the gross laden weight of which is in excess of the gross laden weight for which the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer, or combination of vehicles is registered.
It is an infraction for a person to operate, or cause to be operated, a motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer, or combination of them the gross laden weight of which is in excess of the gross laden weight for which the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer, or combination of vehicles is registered.
