Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 17 Sec. 1892

  • district: means a district created by law in the final plan enacted pursuant to section 1906 of this title and listed in section 1893 of this title. See
  • Person: means any individual, business entity, labor organization, public interest group, or other organization, incorporated or unincorporated. See
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 1892. House of Representatives membership

The House of Representatives shall consist of 150 members, each of whom shall be elected from a district established by law. No person shall be elected a Representative until he or she has resided in this State two years, the last of which shall be in the district for which he or she is elected. (Added 1965, No. 98, § 3.)
