  • Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
  • Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See

§ 1501. Power to obtain warehouse

The Commissioner of Buildings and General Services, with the approval of the Emergency Board, may arrange for and operate a general supply and material warehouse for the use of the State. In making this arrangement, he or she may enter into a lease with any person who may desire to construct and rent such a building to the State. (Added 1961, No. 156, § 1; amended 1987, No. 243 (Adj.
