Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 30 Sec. 125

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.

§ 125. Powers; annual report

A public service corporation shall have the privilege and be subject to the provisions of the general corporation law, and also to the provisions of chapter 5 of this title, except as such provisions are inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter. Such corporations shall not be required to make any annual report, except as provided in chapter 5 of this title. (Amended 1985, No. 224 (Adj. Sess.), § 4.)
