Terms Used In Vermont Statutes Title 6 Sec. 4029
- Person: shall include any natural person, corporation, municipality, the State of Vermont or any department, agency, or subdivision of the State, and any partnership, unincorporated association, or other legal entity. See
- Secretary: means the Secretary of Agriculture, Food and Markets or his or her designee. See
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States may apply to the District of Columbia and any territory and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. See
§ 4029. Rules; distribution; penalties
(a) The Secretary shall adopt rules as prescribed by 3 Vt. Stat. Ann. chapter 25 as he or she deems necessary to carry out the provisions of this chapter. The rules shall be printed by the State and distributed by the Secretary.
(b) A person who violates any provisions of this chapter or a rule adopted under this chapter shall be fined not more than $100.00 for the first offense and not more than $500.00 for each subsequent offense. The Secretary may seek and obtain preliminary and permanent injunctive relief for any violation of this chapter or the rules adopted under this chapter.
