There is created a separate nonlapsible trust fund designated as the medical assistance trust fund, consisting of all of the following:
Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 25.77
- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
- Following: when used by way of reference to any statute section, means the section next following that in which the reference is made. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
(1) All federal moneys received, including moneys that the department of health services may transfer from the appropriation under s. 20.435 (4) (o), that are related to payments under s. 49.45 and are based on public funds that are transferred or certified under 42 C.F.R. 433.51 (b) and used as the nonfederal share of Medical Assistance funding.
(2) All public funds that are related to payments under s. 49.45 and that are transferred or certified under 42 C.F.R. 433.51 (b) and used as the nonfederal and federal share of Medical Assistance funding, except funds that are deposited into the appropriation accounts under s. 20.435 (4) (kx) or (ky).
(3) All moneys received under s. 50.14 (2g) from assessments on licensed beds of facilities in each fiscal year.
(6) All moneys transferred under 2003 Wisconsin Act 129, section 5 (1).
(7) All moneys transferred under 2005 Wisconsin Act 15, section 9221 (2).
(8) All moneys transferred from the appropriation under s. 20.285 (1) (gb).
(9) All moneys transferred from the permanent endowment fund.
(10) All moneys transferred under 2007 Wisconsin Act 20, section 9225 (2).
(12) All moneys recouped and deposited under s. 50.38 (6) (a) 4. and (6m) (a) 4.
