Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 858.11

  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
  • Property: includes real and personal property. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01

The surviving partner of any deceased person whose estate is being administered shall, if required by order of the court, file with the court a verified inventory of the partnership property and liabilities. If, after service of the order upon him or her, the partner without reasonable cause shown refuses or neglects to comply with the order for 20 days after the day set for compliance, he or she may be held in contempt of court.
