Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 86.33
- Population: means that shown by the most recent regular or special federal census. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
- Preceding: when used by way of reference to any statute section, means the section next preceding that in which the reference is made. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed; "year" alone means "year of our Lord". See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
Population determination for the purpose of calculating aids under ss. 86.30 and 86.32 shall be based on the final population estimates arrived at by the department of administration under s. 16.96 as of November 30 of the preceding year.
