Human cloning is the process used to create an entire genetic duplicate of a person, or of certain of their cells. Therapeutic human cloning, which is the cloning of cells taken from an adult for medical treatment or transplant, is far more widespread than the other form, reproductive cloning, which means cloning an entire human being for purposes of procreation.
