Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 26:8-7
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
- Vital records: means the birth, death, fetal death, marriage, civil union and domestic partnership records from which vital statistics are produced. See New Jersey Statutes 26:8-1
The State department shall provide for registration of vital records.
