Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 27:25-19

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
Notwithstanding any of the provisions of the “New Jersey Contractual Liability Act” (N.J.S. 59:13-1 et seq.) to the contrary, contract claims and suits against the corporation shall be governed by said act.
