  • person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 13. The authority shall establish a joint application filing, review and approval procedure whereby a person who is eligible for financial assistance from the fund, created pursuant to section 3 of P.L.1997, c.235 (C. 58:10A-37.3) and who is eligible for financial assistance from the Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund, created pursuant to section 26 of P.L.1993, c.139 (C. 58:10B-4), may file one application for financial assistance from both funds and receive a joint response from the authority that approves or disapproves the application in whole or in part.
