Terms Used In Alabama Code 23-1-415
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The department may institute, in any court of competent jurisdiction, a civil action to enjoin, restrain, prevent, abate, or correct any violation of this article and violation of any determination, order, or ruling of the department.
