Alaska Statutes 41.23.210 – Enforcement authority

(a) In the Knik River Public Use Area described in Alaska Stat. § 41.23.230, the following persons are peace officers of the state for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 41.23.180 – 41.23.230 and regulations adopted under Alaska Stat. § 41.23.180 – 41.23.230:

Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
peace officer: means
(A) an officer of the state troopers. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

(1) an employee of the department or other person authorized by the commissioner;

(2) a peace officer, as that term is defined in Alaska Stat. § 01.10.060.

(b) A person designated in (a) of this section may, when enforcing the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 41.23.180 – 41.23.230 or a regulation adopted under Alaska Stat. § 41.23.180 – 41.23.230,

(1) execute a warrant or other process issued by an officer or court of competent jurisdiction;

(2) administer or take an oath, affirmation, or affidavit; and

(3) issue a citation or arrest a person who violates a provision of Alaska Stat. § 41.23.180 – 41.23.230 or a regulation adopted under Alaska Stat. § 41.23.180 – 41.23.230.

(c) A citation issued under (b) of this section must comply with the provisions of Alaska Stat. § 12.25.175 – 12.25.230.
