Alaska Statutes 46.03.890 – Enforcement authority

(a) The following persons are authorized to enforce this chapter:

state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

(1) a state employee authorized by the commissioner;

(2) a police officer of the state.

(b) Inspection and enforcement employees of the department designated by the commissioner are peace officers in the performance of their duties under this chapter, Alaska Stat. Chapter 46.04, Alaska Stat. Chapter 46.09, and Alaska Stat. Chapter 46.14.
