Each application for registration under sections 36b-2 to 36b-34, inclusive, shall be sworn to, before a person qualified to administer oaths, by the person making the same and shall state that the alleged facts therein contained are true to his own knowledge. If such person is a partnership, such oath shall be made by a general partner thereof, and, if such person is a corporation or other form of association, such oath shall be made by an executive officer thereof.

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Oath: A promise to tell the truth.
  • oath: shall include affirmations in cases where by law an affirmation may be used for an oath, and, in like cases, the word "swear" shall include the word "affirm". See Connecticut General Statutes 1-1
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
