  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
     The Department may terminate a public private agreement or interim agreement under Section 30 of this Act if the contractor or any executive employee of the contractor is found guilty of any criminal offense related to the conduct of its business or the regulation thereof in any jurisdiction. For purposes of this Section, an “executive employee” is the President, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, or Chief Financial Officer; any employee with executive decision-making authority over the long-term or day-to-day affairs of the contractor; or any employee whose compensation or evaluation is determined in whole or in part by the award of the public private agreement.
