Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 620 ILCS 50/25

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
     To be responsible for, and have jurisdiction over all public roads and streets within and adjoining the site of any airport and to exercise and be vested with the same powers and duties with respect thereto as is now conferred upon township highway commissioners and county boards over such public roads and streets.
