  • Appellate: About appeals; an appellate court has the power to review the judgement of another lower court or tribunal.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Reporter: Makes a record of court proceedings and prepares a transcript, and also publishes the court's opinions or decisions (in the courts of appeals).
     Within 10 days from the date when a decision becomes final, the Clerks of the Supreme and Appellate Courts shall furnish to the Reporter of Decisions, without cost, the opinions of the judges of his court. The clerk shall also furnish such opinions to any other person, company, or corporation desiring them at a price to be fixed by the Supreme Court.
