Terms Used In Iowa Code 461A.37
- Director: means the director of the department or the director's designee. See Iowa Code 462A.2
- Operate: means to navigate or otherwise use a vessel or motorboat. See Iowa Code 462A.2
- road: include public bridges, and may be held equivalent to the words "county way" "county road" "common road" and "state road". See Iowa Code 4.1
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
Excessively loaded vehicles shall not operate over state park or preserve drives, roads or highways. The determination as to whether the load is excessive will be made by the director or the director’s representative and will depend upon the load and the road conditions.
