Terms Used In Iowa Code 602.9207

  • clerk: means clerk of the court in which the action or proceeding is brought or is pending; and the words "clerk's office" mean the office of that clerk. See Iowa Code 4.1
602.9207 Retirement of senior judge.
1. A senior judge shall cease to be a senior judge upon completion of the twelve-month period during which the judge attains senior judge retirement age. The clerk of the supreme court shall make a notation of the retirement of a senior judge in the roster of senior judges, at which time the senior judge shall become a retired senior judge.
2. A senior judge is subject to retirement under article 2, part 1 for the causes specified in § 602.2106, subsection 3, paragraph “”a””. A senior judge may request and be granted retirement in the manner provided in § 602.9112. When a senior judge is retired as provided in this subsection the clerk of the supreme court shall make a notation of the retirement of the senior judge in the roster of senior judges, at which time the senior judge shall become a retired senior judge.
