  • Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.

K.S.A. 24-481 through 24-487a. In case any part of this act or of the act to which it is supplemental shall be declared to be unconstitutional, the remainder of this act or said act to which this act is supplemental shall nevertheless remain in force, and after the incorporation of said drainage district as in this act provided, no irregularity in the proceedings had prior to such incorporation or invalidity of the laws providing for such prior proceedings shall affect the validity of said incorporation, nor its rights, privileges, powers or duties.
