  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.

The collection of assessments to be levied to pay for the location, construction, maintenance, or repair of any ditch, levee, dike, or watercourse, shall not be enjoined nor declared void; nor shall said assessment be set aside in consequence of an error, omission, or irregularity committed or appearing in any of the proceedings provided for by this act and no injunction shall be allowed restricting the collection of an assessment until the party complaining shall first pay to the county treasurer the amount of his assessment, which amount so paid may be recovered from said district in an action brought for that purpose in case said injunction is made perpetual.
