  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

The secretary of wildlife and parks may organize the Kansas department of wildlife and parks in the manner the secretary deems most efficient, so long as the same is not in conflict with the provisions of this order or with the provisions of law, and the secretary may establish policies governing the transaction of business of the department and the administration of the department. The secretary shall cause any compensation received by the Kansas department of wildlife and parks, whether monetary, in-kind or otherwise, from leases of real property under the control and jurisdiction of the secretary to be accounted for and reflected in the budget of the Kansas department of wildlife and parks.
