Terms Used In Kansas Statutes 32-874

  • Legislative session: That part of a chamber's daily session in which it considers legislative business (bills, resolutions, and actions related thereto).

(a) The secretary of commerce and the secretary of wildlife and parks shall direct and implement a feasibility study regarding the potential of developing lake resorts in Kansas. The study shall consider ready access from nearby interstate and interstate connected controlled access highways, public transportation systems, facilities and any other factors that may affect tourism to a given site. The study shall consider only sites at existing state parks or lakes.

(b) The feasibility study shall be completed by January 1, 1998, with a joint report on the study’s results and recommendations derived therefrom to be presented to the legislature, house committee on tourism, senate committee on transportation and tourism and to the governor during the 1998 legislative session.
