Terms Used In Michigan Laws 446.74

  • Retail establishment: means a place of business open to the general public for the sale of goods or services. See Michigan Laws 446.71
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
  A retail establishment or an employee of a retail establishment that violates section 2 is responsible for a state civil infraction and may be ordered to pay a civil fine of not more than $100.00.
