Terms Used In New Hampshire Revised Statutes 482:14

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • Department: means the department of environmental services. See New Hampshire Revised Statutes 482:2
All orders issued by the department under the provisions of this subdivision shall be subject to appeal pursuant to N.H. Rev. Stat. § 21-O:14 but shall remain in force until modified or set aside on appeal.
