Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 48:12-125.3
- certified mail: include private express carrier service, provided that the private express carrier service provides confirmation of mailing. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
Service of the said notice shall be made by certified mail, return receipt requested, addressed to the Governor in cases of service upon the State, to the director or clerk of the board of chosen freeholders, in cases of service upon a county, and to the mayor or municipal clerk, in cases of service upon a municipality.
