As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires:

(1) “Baby chicks” means all domestic fowl six (6) weeks of age or under;

  • Agriculture: means :
    (i) The land, buildings and machinery used in the commercial production of farm products and nursery stock. See Tennessee Code 1-3-105
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Department: means department of agriculture. See Tennessee Code 44-16-205
  • Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
  • Person: includes every person, partnership, firm, company, association, society, public auction, community sale, sale pavilion, syndicate, and corporation. See Tennessee Code 44-16-205
(2) “Department” means department of agriculture; and
(3) “Person” includes every person, partnership, firm, company, association, society, public auction, community sale, sale pavilion, syndicate, and corporation.
