Terms Used In Utah Code 26B-4-507

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Physician: means the same as that term is defined in Section 58-67-102. See Utah Code 26B-4-501
  • Self-administered hormonal contraceptive: includes an oral hormonal contraceptive, a hormonal vaginal ring, and a hormonal contraceptive patch. See Utah Code 26B-4-501
26B-4-507.  Limited civil liability.
     A physician who issues a standing prescription drug order in accordance with Section 26B-4-505 is not liable for any civil damages for acts or omissions resulting from the dispensing of a self-administered hormonal contraceptive under Sections 26B-4-504 through 26B-4-506.
