Utah Code 46-1-13. Notary journal

(1)	A notary may keep, maintain, and protect as a public record, and provide for lawful inspection a chronological, permanently bound official journal of notarial acts, containing numbered pages.

notarization: means an act that a notary is authorized to perform under Section 46-1-6. See Utah Code 46-1-2
Notary: includes a remote notary. See Utah Code 46-1-2
Remote notary: means a notary that holds an active remote notary certification under Section 46-1-3. See Utah Code 46-1-2

(2)	A remote notary shall keep a secure electronic journal of each remote notarization the notary performs.
