Utah Code 63G-6a-1210. Contract provisions for incentives, damages, and penalties

A procurement unit may include in a contract terms that provide for:

(1)	incentives, including bonuses;

Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Procurement: means the acquisition of a procurement item through an expenditure of public funds, or an agreement to expend public funds, including an acquisition through a public-private partnership. See Utah Code 63G-6a-103

(2)	payment of damages, including liquidated damages; or

(3)	penalties.
