Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 851.23
- Decedent: A deceased person.
- Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
- Probate: Proving a will
“Personal representative” means any person to whom letters to administer a decedent‘s estate have been granted by the court or by the probate registrar under ch. 865, but does not include a special administrator.
