PHOTOCOPIES

In federal court a photocopy is admissible to the same extent as an original unless (1) there is a genuine dispute as to the authenticity of the original, or (2) under the circumstances it would be unfair to allow a photocopy to be introduced in lieu of the original.{footnote} [3146]FRE 1001(4), 1003; United States v. Rodriguez, 524 F.2d 485 (5th Cir. 1975).{/footnote} Even a photocopy of a photocopy of a document may be admitted into evidence, if the original and the first copy have been lost.{footnote} [3147]United States v.
