Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 09.50.180

  • action: includes any matter or proceeding in a court, civil or criminal. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • municipality: means a political subdivision incorporated under the laws of the state that is a home rule or general law city, a home rule or general law borough, or a unified municipality. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
  • person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

When there is reason to believe that a nuisance as defined in Alaska Stat. § 09.50.17009.50.240 exists, the attorney general shall, or a citizen, or a home rule municipality if the nuisance is located in the home rule municipality, may, bring an action to perpetually enjoin the nuisance, the person maintaining it, and the owner, lessee, or agent of the building or group upon which the nuisance exists.
