The board may, in lieu of revocation, suspend a licensee, issue a formal reprimand, or place the licensee on probation under such terms and conditions as may be defined by the board after hearing.

- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
