- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- Probate: Proving a will
Partnership interests or interests belonging to an estate by virtue of any partnership formerly existing, an interest of the estate in personal property pledged, and chosen in action, may be sold in the same manner as provided for sales of personal property of an estate under this Chapter. Before confirming the sale of a partnership interest, whether made to the surviving partner or to any other person, the Superior Court of Guam must carefully inquire into the condition of the partnership affairs, and must examine the surviving partner, if in the territory of Guam and able to be present in court.
