(1) An exempt insurer who holds a certificate of exemption issued by the Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services before January 1, 2003, may continue transacting insurance.
(2) In order to continue a certificate of exemption, an exempt insurer to whom subsection (1) of this section applies must file its annual statement and pay the fees established by the director by March 1 of each year.
(3) An exempt insurer shall be subject to ORS § 731.296 to 731.316, 731.414, 731.418, 731.574, 731.988, 731.992, 733.010 to 733.115, 733.140 to 733.210, 743A.040, 746.075 and 746.110. [Formerly 736.020; 1979 c.870 § 1; 1981 c.752 § 15; 1989 c.413 § 2; 2003 c.802 § 174; 2005 c.22 § 485]
