An order terminating the conservatorship of a living person shall direct the conservator to deliver the assets in the possession of the conservator to the protected person:

Terms Used In Oregon Statutes 125.525

  • Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
  • Conservator: means a person appointed as a conservator under the provisions of this chapter. See Oregon Statutes 125.005
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100
  • Protected person: means a person for whom a protective order has been entered. See Oregon Statutes 125.005

(1) Immediately, to the extent that the assets are not required for payment of expenses of administration and debts incurred by the conservator for the account of the estate of the protected person; and

(2) Upon entry of an order approving the final accounting or surcharging the conservator, to the extent of any balance remaining. [1995 c.664 § 59; 2017 c.169 § 59]
