Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to require a health benefit plan to offer a contract to an individual if the carrier does not otherwise offer contracts to individuals.

Terms Used In California Insurance Code 10902.2

  • Carrier: means any disability insurance company or any other entity that writes, issues, or administers health benefit plans, as defined in subdivision (a) of Section 10198. See California Insurance Code 10900
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
