Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 375/6.1
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The program of health benefits may offer as an alternative, available on an optional basis, coverage through health maintenance organizations or other managed care programs. That part of the premium for such coverage which is in excess of the amount which would otherwise be paid by the State for the program of health benefits shall be paid by the member who elects such alternative coverage and shall be collected as provided for premiums for other optional coverages.
