- Heretofore: means any time previous to the day on which the statute takes effect; and the word "hereafter" at any time after such day. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.17
The superintendent of any such house of correction shall receive a salary per annum, to be fixed by the corporate authorities of such city, to be paid quarterly. The superintendent shall keep a record of all infractions of the rules and discipline of the house of correction, with the names of each, the convict offending, and the date and character of each offense. Every misdemeanant in such house of correction shall be allowed time off from his sentence in accordance with the provisions of the “Misdemeanant Good Behavior Allowance Act”, as heretofore and hereafter amended.
