(1) Incidental damages resulting from a lessor‘s default include expenses reasonably incurred in inspection, receipt, transportation, and care and custody of goods rightfully rejected or goods the acceptance of which is justifiably revoked, any commercially reasonable charges, expenses, or commissions in connection with effecting cover, and any other reasonable expense incident to the default.

Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 810 ILCS 5/2A-520

  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Goods: means all things that are movable at the
    
time of identification to the lease contract, or are fixtures (Section 2A-309), but the term does not include money, documents, instruments, accounts, chattel paper, general intangibles, or minerals or the like, including oil and gas, before extraction.   • Lessor: means a person who transfers the right
  •     
    to possession and use of goods under a lease. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 810 ILCS 5/2A-103

            (a) any loss resulting from general or particular
        
    requirements and needs of which the lessor at the time of contracting had reason to know and which could not reasonably be prevented by cover or otherwise; and
            (b) injury to person or property proximately
        
    resulting from any breach of warranty.
