Terms Used In Texas Water Code 57.059
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
To be qualified to serve as a director, a person must:
(1) be at least 18 years old;
(2) own land subject to taxation in the district or be a qualified voter in the district; and
(3) if the director is elected, be a qualified voter of the precinct in the district established by the commissioners court under § 57.058 from which the director is elected.
