(a) In addition to other contributions to the retirement system required by this subtitle, each municipality participating in the supplemental death benefits fund monthly shall pay to the supplemental death benefits fund an amount equal to the rate of contribution computed in accordance with § 855.502, multiplied by the total compensation for the month of the members employed by the municipality.
(b) The limitation of § 855.407(e) does not apply to the rate of the contribution to the supplemental death benefits fund.
