- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
An obligation issued by the board, any transaction relating to the obligation, and profits made from the sale of the obligation are exempt from taxation by this state or by a municipality or other political subdivision of this state.
