Terms Used In Texas Special District Local Laws Code 3846.054
- Person: includes corporation, organization, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, association, and any other legal entity. See Texas Government Code 311.005
- Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
Regardless of a statute to the contrary, a person who qualifies to serve on the board is qualified to serve as a director and participate in all votes pertaining to the business of the district.
