- Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period.
Except as provided by Sections 3852.105 and 3852.157 of this code and § 375.263, Local Government Code, a municipality is not obligated to pay a bond, note, or other obligation of the district.
