Terms Used In Tennessee Code 8-3605
- Retirement: means withdrawal from membership with a retirement allowance granted under chapters 34-37 of this title. See Tennessee Code 8-34-101
- State: means the state of Tennessee. See Tennessee Code 8-34-101
Employees who become members under this chapter and on behalf of whom contributions are paid as provided in this chapter shall be entitled to benefits under the retirement system as though they were state employees.
